Healthy and Delicious Together
Hi, I’m Jessica.
Tastescoop started in my kitchen, without a plan, without a brand name, and without any big idea behind it. I was just cooking meals, snacks, drinks trying to make things that worked for my family and didn’t feel like too much effort at the end of a long day.
At some point, I started sharing those recipes online. Not because I thought they were special, but because they were realistic. And people responded to that. Especially to the recipes that my kids liked helping me make.
That surprised me at first. Then it didn’t.
Those ended up being the recipes I enjoyed the most too.

About Tastescoop
Tastescoop is a collection of recipes that come from everyday life.
It’s not about perfect plates or complicated steps. It’s about food that fits into real routines busy mornings, messy kitchens, and kids who want to help (even if that help slows everything down).
I focus on simple meals, easy desserts, and healthy drinks that feel approachable. A lot of them are kid-friendly, but they’re not “kids-only” food. They’re meals and snacks the whole family can actually enjoy.
I don’t believe cooking should feel intimidating. And I definitely don’t believe you need to do everything perfectly for it to count.

My Feeding Philosophy
I don’t have strict rules around food.
What I try to do is show my kids that food is normal. Something to explore, taste, and enjoy. Sometimes they love what we make. Sometimes they don’t. Both happen, and that’s fine.
I let them help when they want to. Mixing, pouring, decorating, tasting. It’s rarely neat, but it makes them curious and curiosity matters more than pressure.
I also believe routines help. Regular meals and snacks make a difference, for kids and adults. No one makes great food decisions when they’re starving.
Feeding kids is hard sometimes. Anyone who says otherwise probably hasn’t done it for very long. I’ve learned that small steps matter more than big wins.
My Background and Experience

Most of what I know comes from doing this every day.
I cook. I test recipes. I adjust things when they don’t work. I pay attention to what gets eaten and what gets ignored. Over time, you learn a lot that way.
My kids are a big part of that learning. They’re honest in a way adults aren’t. If something doesn’t work, I know right away. And when something does, it usually becomes part of our regular routine.
That’s how most of the recipes on Tastescoop are created.
The Taste Testing Team

Nothing gets posted here without feedback from my two favorite critics.
Taste Tester #1
The older one. He loves smoothies, strawberries, pancakes, and anything that lets him feel in charge of mixing or pouring.
Taste Tester #2
The younger one. She’s curious, observant, and very clear about what she likes and doesn’t like usually without saying a word.
If a recipe works for them, there’s a good chance it’ll work for other families too.
If you’re here because you want food ideas that feel realistic not perfect then you’re in the right place.
That’s what Tastescoop is about.
